The PPS60-P Pulse Heat Controller is a unit designed for rapid heating and cooling of GaAs laser devices and similar delicate materials, when configured with a Cammax Precima supplied heated workholder. This versatile system can be used in a stand alone capacity for development applications, or with a suitable manual or automatic Die Bonder equipped for handling delicate devices.
Heated workholders essentially consist of a graphite strip which acts as the heating element and can be configured to suit most types of flat submounts, TO Header and C-Mount type packages. The submount or package is vacuum or mechanically clamped to the graphite strip, and is rapidly heated and cooled using the PPS60-P Controller during the bonding cycle.
A cover gas facility is supplied to eliminate oxidation during bonding of die.
